Travel Resources
The information provided on this page is done as a courtesy to the membership. We know that the pinnacle of the genealogists work is traveling to their ancestor(s) native village(s). Listed below are the names and contacts of fellow members of CGSI who can assist you in making your visit to the ancestral villages a reality.
TREASURES TOUR
Immerse in the culture and glimpse the way of life your ancestors knew. We find ancestral villages and living relatives and have a 98% success rate even when no contact for 100 years. In addition to castles and onion-domed wooden churches, our unique trips feature festivals, village visits with local foods, crafts and music, and folk weddings. Helene Cincebeaux and her mother Helen Zemek Baine have led 64 tours over the past 20 years and visited the Czech and Slovak Republics more than 100 times since the 1960’s. Helene is Director of the Slovak Heritage & Folklore Society International and Editor of “Morava Krasna”, “Slovakia” and “Slovak Pride”, a 28,000 surname/village data base. Four TAC Treasure tours are planned for 2009;
