Can anyone tell me what time period the Green Catholics were forced out of Poland? THX

I don’t know that they were forced out. The Catholic Church was oppressed by the Soviets, however that ended with the fall of the USSR. It does seem that the majority of the Greek Catholics in Poland are actually Ukranian, or Ruthenian, not Polish. I found this on the internet: http://countrystudies.us/poland/41.htm which, of course, doesn’t mean it’s true. ;-D

Thank you Mary. This info came from a possible relative that I visited in Poland several years ago and was told through an interpreter. I very well may have gotten it wrong. Perhaps she was talking about the “Catholic occupation of Greek Catholic Church property confiscated by the state in the late 1940s” as stated in the article you referred me to.
