Seeking information re Bohemian birthplace of Matej(Mathias?) Karasek, b.1836; was first president of Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago. Possible relationship to Karel Welky Karasek, b. 1848

Yes…aware of this…that’s him. Trying to resolve “family genealogist’s” hand written note in BNC anniv. book adjacent to photo of “M. Karasek” that he was “father of my grandmother” although all other research shows Karel Karasek to be….have historic info from BNC re M. Karasek …about 10 years age difference so possibly related but no luck confirming same….or did BNC make a typo in the book?

Hi David- The Karel Karasek that you mentioned is he on findagrave? I see a Karel b in Labska Tynice, Czechoslovakia 26 March 1846. Jolene Kass

Yes...that is him; large gravestone in Bohemian National Cemetery....trying to figure out if he was ever a director of same.
